What make of printer is it? Do you get a 'status box' tells you about ink levels etc. I have to manually go in and delete the last print job if I want it to go any faster, otherwise it takes about minutes to clean itself out.
Why printing is so slow ??
Once you have the command prompt window open type: " net stop spooler " Have done that 2 or 3 times, just did it again, and still the same results, I wait anywhere from minutes or manually go in and clear the last print job out of spooler before it will print next job.
I looked and turned off all start-up programs, then restarted windows tried printing - the first one came out fine, after that its a 5 minute wait between print jobs, unless I manually go in and delete the last job. All the above suggestions have been tried to no avail. This happened on my last but one HP too, and in the end no remedy was ever found! Now collecting dust in the corner!!
The problem was solved! I had to assign a new IP Address. For some reason the IP address was corrupted, so I had to reassign an address, and it works like new!
